Weddings are our favorite place to play the music we love.

Here’s a walkthrough of what our musicians will typically do on your wedding day.

Ceremony Music*

Our ceremonies include prelude music, processionals, a recessional and a brief postlude.

Our most popular options are piano + acoustic guitar or acoustic guitar duo, but we can mix and match instruments – and styles – as desired.

We also offer sound system and microphone rentals for the officiant and ceremony participants if needed.

Cocktail Hour

Our cocktail hour repertoire centers on lighter jazz selections from the 1930s–1960s. We aim to provide background atmosphere and ambience, setting a joyful, elegant mood without getting in the way of conversation.

Check out our possible band combinations below.

Entrances & Dances

We cover wedding party entrances with the energetic “T. L. Holloway theme” or other music of your choice. For the first dance and parent-child dances, we either switch back to an acoustic setup or stick with our standard band to best suit your preference. We work closely with each of our couples to prepare custom song arrangements that perfectly capture the emotion of these moments.

Reception

As dinner is served, we continue the light feel from the cocktail hour so guests can enjoy each other’s company.

Once dinner is over, the gloves are off. You can expect a custom mixture of high-energy jazz, traditional swing dance music, Latin music, bossa nova, contemporary hits and tasteful jazz arrangements of modern songs.

As the night goes on, we build up the excitement to a crescendo, feeding off the spirit of the party – all with the authenticity and energy that only live music can provide.

Band Options

With interest in the jazz era reaching a new peak as we move again into the 20s, we at T. L. Holloway are eager to bring you and your wedding guests the charm, class and excitement of that extraordinary time in American culture.

Our recommended band size depends on your venue, number of guests, and desired level and style of sound. You can read more about our members on the band page, but our general offerings for cocktail hour and later are below:

If you have a special request – female vocalist, flute, trombone, etc. – we’ll do our best to accommodate with one of our many featured artists.

We take custom requests, can provide song recommendations, and are happy to tailor any part of the day to your vision.
